Grzegorz KrawiecBorn November 22, 1980 in Przemysl (Poland), Grzegorz studied classical guitar (1987-1999) in his home town with Professor Wojciech Mandzyn. In 2004 he finished his Masters Degree at The Frederic Chopin Academy in Warsaw with Professor Marcin Zalewski. Since 2002 he has taught classical guitar at a Music School in Warsaw. He is a prize-winner of many classical guitar competitions in Poland (e.g. Gdansk, Krynica, Przemysl, Tychy) and abroad : Bath (Great Britain), Vienna (Austria), Gitarre Forum in Vienna (Austria), Sernancelhe (Portugal), Belgrade (Serbia). |

Among his many scholarships and prizes are: The Ministry of Culture in Poland, The Mayor of Przemysl, The Prime Minister of Poland, for "Young artists in Europe" - Paderborn (Germany), The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, National Children's Fund. For many years he has performed in Poland and abroad (Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Canada), and has played in such great concert halls as : Witold Lutoslawski Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw, Polish National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna and Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. |

Performances include solo recitals, chamber concerts (with brother Andrzej Krawiec and Chopin Guitar Quartet) as well as with orchestras : Aukso - Chamber Orchestra, "Mala Filharmonia" in Warsaw, Olsztyn Philharmonic Orchestra, Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra, Rzeszow Philharmonic Orchestra, Kielce Philharmonic Orchestra, Capella Bydgostiensis, Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra in Katowice and The National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw. In 2006 he premiered (together with Penderecki String Quartet) a quintet by Marcin Banasik "The Great Bridge" for guitar and string quartet. In 2005 his first solo CD "Journey - Podroz" was released on MA Recordings. Included on the CD is the world premiere recording of "Reminiscence" by Sylwester Laskowski. "Journey-Podroz" was voted by SoundStage as a one of 12 best CDs in 2005. |

Miguel y Leli will open the concert with a series of short Spanish Dances. Miguel on Flamenco guitar will play for Leli. They have lived and studied in Spain and Canada with some of the biggest names in Flamenco : La Tati, Pepe Habichuela, Concha Vargas, La Repompa de Malaga, Mariano Torres, Esmeralda Enrique. | |
They have worked in Spain, the U.S.A, England and Canada. Flamenco is a passion and a way of life and Leli and Miguel have lived it to the full. As a side-note this talented couple, who perform and teach in Toronto, have chosen Cobourg for their weekend home and we welcome them to this area. |

Paul Weston

| At the age of 16, he joined the Royal Marines Band Service, one of the most distinguished all-around musical organizations in the world, offering him the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge of the Orchestral, Symphonic Windband and Big Band repertoires.
As both a Director of Music and freelance instrumentalist and conductor, the next 26 years saw Paul conduct and play in more than 50 countries, taking in some of the world's finest venues and entertaining numerous Heads of State. Paul holds a Master's Degree in Conducting, Composition and Arranging, and is an Associate of the Royal College of Music and the Royal Schools of Music (London, U.K.). He has directed numerous CD recordings on the Chevron and Clovelly labels. Paul, composed "Fastnet" which won the first Vivian Dunn Extended Composition Competition in May 2002. He is a also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Mississauga Symphony, as well as viola player and guest conductor. Paul lives in Burlington, with his wife and two children . |
